Madness

So my best friend said to me the other day that I move too "single".  I Thought WTF (what the France) does that mean? Really is it that a mother is condemned to a life of play dates and children events and going only to places where there is an admission price for children . Now its not that I don't agree that each family should take the time to play with their children , keep them engaged show them the world as is appropriate for their age and build family bonds and relationships through together time, but I spend at least 70-85% of my time doing those very things. From time to time though I love going out and enjoying myself with my friends though, and frankly put ain't nothing wrong with that.

I believe you need to separate from your herd sometimes to recharge and rejuvenate yourself so that you can be a better mother and wife. However you choose to use that time is totally up to you as a person, but it should happen and it should happen often enough for you to feel fulfilled as a person.

Love

Love is not love that alters when alterations find - Shakespeare

What is the truth about love anyway and why do people work so hard to find it. Honestly love is quite simple and easy to find. If you are looking in the right place. That place is your own heart.
Huh?
Yep the first place to find true love is to have a deep appreciation of ones own self. Love grows incrementally when we have the capacity to spread it to everyone we happen to be in contact with on any given day . To extend this love it must be that we feed the source of this love with love too and that is to love ourselves.
So one might say well this is nothing new and very clique. Unfortunately  its seems that although this truth is available to everyone there are still many people who have not been able access the power of sharing love with others. They are discontent and still searching for the 'one'. Who is that person? I often wonder. I think I've found him. My husband is wonderful and I have figured out why.
I have known this man for near 20 years (more than half my life) and I used to believe he was or would be the things I thought in my mind. After disappointing myself terribly several times it occurred to me that I needed to evaluate the way I looked at him. I went within my soul and asked the questions that no one wants to ask right before they are considering marriage. Did I love him - I sure did but did I like him? Hmm ...did I see a lovely person within him . Could my ego and his coexist in the same space peacefully. Could we work together harmoniously to build a life together. I have enjoyed the journey thus far. Its been bumpy and lumpy we have fought disagreed and said hurtful things to each other. We apologize and laughed it off; promised to do better and allowed each other to be our natural selves. Fundamentally we like each other we are friends.
So what about you and your companion where is he/she. My advice -look in the mirror first ask yourself what you want and are these things possibly in yourself. If not address it. Ones you complete yourself you are free to seek someone you like and respect as those are the true makings of great companionship. In the meantime mindfully give a little love to those you encounter you may be surprised by what will return to you.

I sat under the full moon

I sat under the full moon tonight for. The first time it seemed though my memories re wind to the feeling profound of deja vu.
I did - I do
have a curious love for the moon.
It felt like a lifetime eternity really since I basked in her radiant light.
And inspite of myself I found her light - the light a long lost friend.
The end
Began when I let my head rule my heart now my soul just couldn't resist this lasting kiss
I once enjoyed - through my post adolescent window.
She. Would lie beside me in my bed and wrap me in her white blanket and tell me all the thing I needed to hear.
I swear
She missed me as much as I didn't realise I did miss her - until I sat beside her tonight in the glow of the night she whispered gentle to me
Familiar is she
Well known in fact as the earth spins so she moves away.
I snap back to my world all consumed by the few.
She reminds me of the me within.

First 5 K

So here is the deal - I stopped being healthy - took a sabbatical , and have just been running up and down with my son as exercise, which was giving me a false sense of security, but the increasing distaste I was getting for the body I current inhabit was making me miserable. Thankfully the universe saw my intention and I get a super discounted price to start the gym  and so I started 2 weeks ago exactly. If I am honest - I HATE cardio I think it is the most mundane sort of pointless type of exercise known to man or at least this woMan - I love pushing weight the bigger the better.  So I have started and I am loving it especially since i read this article http://www.askmen.com/sports/bodybuilding_250/295_weightlifting-for-fat-loss.html and a series of others that suggest weight lifting far exceeds cardio in burning and losing body fat which is what I want .
Anyway again the universe had a plan because at the same time I planned to start the gym I signed up for a 5 k walk as a challenge.
Let me confess that I hate crowds and racing  and all of my friends (all 3 of them including my husband )  are both smaller and fitter than I am. If i am honest I was very afraid to do something like that - what if I collapsed, what if I couldn't make it what if I were dead last ( oh the humiliation ).

The long and short  - I walked my fist 5 k yesterday and I plan to keep doing it . I felt happy after , I didn't come last , I walked in it 55:30 ( an hour was my goal). I am sooo very proud of myself and my friends who encouraged me .

To all others who follow me ...My quest for Health continues.

High C Lungs

Thought the flu was gonna kill me had the worst Asthma attack of my life and while gasping for air on Jan 4th 2013 -
 I wrote :

My chest sings the song of a heavily weighted gong sitting firmly  on a symphonic soprano
Lying supine on the floor with vaulted ceilings and seats galore of a highly acclaimed opera.
There she belts out concertos at very  high C.
With the accompaniment of string sniffling and percussion sneeze.

Most it be so cold for my chest and my nose seem to compete for the most recognition.
But my chest speeds to best as flem rattles my chest as I cough it gets my full attention.

How high can you get ? How low can you go? This infernal wheeze is demanding.
For breathing my friends is a fight to the end . And all my energy leaves me just - panting.

My asthmatic friends can relate.

TIME

Dependency can be so seductively comfortable but I chose to be my own self and not rest on  but to stand beside and then I wrote:

TIME

Time to take a stand
To hold myself up on my own two feet
To look neither left or right
But to hold myself
Who am I if made in the frame and mind of the maker
Who am I if not strong by the hand of the creator
And still I doubt the power within
I confess my will is thin
If lazy is my companion then no further shall I get.
When I shake my weary head and ask the question how did lazy end up so comfortably wrapped up in my bed
of life. Its time to make a choice.
Like a one night stand whose face turns sweet to sour with the dawn or a spouse no longer faithful and worthy of my Love I divorce you my un welcomed lover.
Instead I make bed angels in my bed Alone for only within me is the answer to the questions I only dreamt of once when I was whole and not sharing my life with the one who stole
My will
Sapped it dry from my loin and my lips but no more I say no more.
It is my time -
Time to take a stand
To hold myself up on my own two feet
To look neither left or right
But to hold myself.
Go forward, Do something,Speak my mind,Be.

Leaning - Poem

Fully Rely On God (F.R.O.G)
Some day thats all you can do and today is one of those days.
I am just tired of taking care of others and I really would like to take care of myself for a change . You know what it is I would love to just be alone.
Maybe it is percieved but sometime I have to ask myself if this is it. In my soul I know its not. I am suffering from not asking for what I want - I suspect that will be my next life lesson but until then i wallow in the perception of not having enough me time and while I love my family and friends dearly I wish they would disappear for a bit allow me some alone time.
Until then I guess I am leaning on the everlasting arm that is GOD.
